Kevin McKenna, Chief Executive Officer
Kevin McKenna is President and CEO of Authentix, with over 20 years of leadership experience in information technology and security. He joined Authentix in 2012 and has held senior roles across all markets, including President of Oil and Gas and General Manager of the Brand, Currency, and Tax Stamp businesses. Most recently, he served as Chief Sales and Services Officer, leading global sales and customer engagement. Previously, he was Vice President of Sales, Americas at HID Government ID Solutions, held senior sales roles at LaserCard and L-1 Identity Solutions, and began his career at IBM Global Services, and military veteran.
Tim Driscoll, PH.D., Chief Technology Officer
Dr. Tim Driscoll is the Chief Technology Officer for Authentix, responsible for all research, innovation, and new product development. He joined Authentix in 2005 and has been a key contributor to the company’s success. Previously, Dr. Driscoll was employed by Spectra Systems, serving as VP, Materials Engineering and VP, Business Development, where he oversaw the design, development, and implementation of advanced optical security feature platforms for banknotes, passports, and brand product authentication. He holds a Ph.D. and Master’s in Physics from Brown University and a B.S. in Physics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and completed post-doctoral studies at L’Ecole Polytechnique in France.
Alan Newman, Chief Product Officer, Authentication
With over 38 years of experience in the banknote industry, he has held senior roles at the Bank of England and De La Rue across a wide range of banknote manufacturing processes. He has led global design teams responsible for the design and delivery of more than 600 new banknote designs worldwide, earning 14 international design awards. Since 2008, his teams have launched into circulation approximately 30 percent of all new banknote designs issued globally. His career reflects deep technical expertise, creative leadership, and a sustained impact on currency innovation and security worldwide.
Mark Spencer, Senior Vice President – Product, Design, and Marketing
Mark has over 20 years of experience across pivotal positions in banknote design, production, and project management. He has worked with De La Rue and Crane Currency, supporting design, substrates, security features, and print manufacturing sites. During this time, he has launched over 450 banknote designs and five currency products, demonstrating extensive expertise in all aspects of banknote creation. This includes leading various design and technical advisory projects, such as those for SARB, the Bank of England, HKMA, and Kazakhstan, contributing significantly to the development and implementation of secure and innovative currency solutions worldwide.
Jeff Bowers, Senior Vice President of Engineering
As Senior Vice President of Engineering, Bowers oversees all hardware and software development as well as the global engineering function. He brings more than 20 years of experience leading global development teams in full life cycle product engineering and interfacing with customers to define, deliver and support solutions that meet current and emerging needs. Prior to Authentix, Bowers spent 20 years with Giesecke+Devrient in various engineering and software solutions leadership roles. Bower’s career began at the Jonathan Corporation as the Engineering Manager.
Clint Landrock, Vice President of Technology & Innovation at Authentix Solutions Canada
Mr. Landrock is a technology and business leader with more than 125 patents and award-winning innovations, including Authentix’s plasmonic-based OVD Quantum Stripe. His expertise spans nano-optics, photonics, nanofabrication, plasmonics, and anti-counterfeiting device design. A Canadian leader with global experience, he has successfully led multidisciplinary teams from start-ups to mature product suppliers. Additional strengths include nanoimprint lithography, roll-to-roll manufacturing, systems engineering, and industrializing lab-scale processes. He holds a B.Eng in Aerospace Engineering from Ryerson University and an M.A.Sc. in Neurophysiology and Electrical Engineering from Simon Fraser University, with advanced studies in neuro-motor technologies.
Igi Leroux, Sr. Director, Business Development – Banknote
Igi started his career in product research and development of printing and security features used on banknotes and high security documents. Igi brings over 25 years’ experience in the banknote industry where his career evolved from product R&D, Business Development, Industry Consulting and into General Management. During this time, he worked in a select few of the most notable companies in the banknote industry. He has been instrumental and successful in the development and commercialization of a number of emerging technologies, concepts and businesses in the banknote industry.
