Tim Driscoll, PH.D., Chief Technology Officer
Dr. Tim Driscoll is the Chief Technology Officer for Authentix. He is responsible for all research, innovation and new product development.
Dr. Driscoll joined Authentix in 2005 and has been a key contributor to the success of Authentix over the years. Previously, Dr. Driscoll was employed by Spectra Systems, serving as VP, Materials Engineering and VP, Business Development, where he was responsible for the design, development, and implementation of advanced optical security feature platforms for banknotes, passports, and brand product authentication.
Dr. Driscoll holds a Ph.D. and Masters degree in Physics from Brown University and a B.S. in Physics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Following his Ph.D., Dr. Driscoll conducted his post-doctoral studies at L’Ecole Polytechnique in Palaiseau, France.
Alan Newman, Chief Product Officer, Authentication
Over 38 years’ experience in the banknote industry with Bank of England and De La Rue. Has held a number of senior positions, in a range of banknote manufacturing processes. Has led design teams in the design and realisation of over 600 new banknote designs worldwide, including winning 14 international design awards. Since 2008, launching into circulation 30% of the world’s new banknote designs.
Mark Spencer – SVP, Product, Marketing and Design
20 years of experience across pivotal positions in banknote design, production, and product management. With De La Rue and Crane Currency, supporting design, substrates, security features, and print manufacturing sites.
During this time, he has launched over 450 new banknote designs and five currency products. Including leading various design / technical advisory projects e.g. SARB, Bank of England, HKMA and Kazakhstan.
Clint Landrock, Vice President of Technology & Innovation at Authentix Solutions Canada Inc.
Mr. Landrock is a technology and business leader, responsible for over 125 patents and award-winning technologies such as Authentix’ plasmonic-based OVD Quantum Stripe. Mr. Landrock’s areas of expertise include nano-optics and photonics, nanofabrication, and anti-counterfeiting device design. As a Canadian technology and business leader with global experience, he has a winning track record of leading multi-disciplinary teams from start-ups through to mature product suppliers. Other areas of expertise include advanced optics, nanoimprint lithography, R2R manufacturing, industrialization of lab-scale processes, plasmonics, systems engineering and neuroscience. He holds a B.Eng in Aerospace Engineering from Ryerson University; an M.A.Sc. in Neurophysiology and Electrical Engineering from Simon Fraser University; completed summer programs at the University of Bologna in partnership with Harvard Medical School and the University of Twente in “Advanced Technologies in Neuro-Motor Assessment & Rehabilitation”.
