AUTHENTIX ATTENDEES

With over 38 years of experience in the banknote industry, he has held senior roles at the Bank of England and De La Rue across a wide range of banknote manufacturing processes. He has led global design teams responsible for the design and delivery of more than 600 new banknote designs worldwide, earning 14 international design awards. Since 2008, his teams have launched into circulation approximately 30 percent of all new banknote designs issued globally. His career reflects deep technical expertise, creative leadership, and a sustained impact on currency innovation and security worldwide.

Dr. Tim Driscoll is the Chief Technology Officer for Authentix, responsible for all research, innovation, and new product development. He joined Authentix in 2005 and has been a key contributor to the company’s success. Previously, Dr. Driscoll was employed by Spectra Systems, serving as VP, Materials Engineering and VP, Business Development, where he oversaw the design, development, and implementation of advanced optical security feature platforms for banknotes, passports, and brand product authentication. He holds a Ph.D. and Master’s in Physics from Brown University and a B.S. in Physics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and completed post-doctoral studies at L’Ecole Polytechnique in France.

Paul has over 41 years of experience at Authentix SPS starting out as an Apprentice Printer, progressing through the ranks as Print Manager, Planning Manager, Operations Director, to his current role as Managing Director. Paul heads up a team currently consisting of five direct reports and is responsible for coordinating all aspects of running the business.

Sten Bertelsen is responsible for the creation and execution of strategic partnerships, alliances, and acquisitions to grow the Company. He assists augmenting the sales and delivery capabilities across Authentix through external resources for long-term growth and value creation. Sten joined Authentix in 2014 as SVP sales and business development and has served as SVP corporate development and SVP EMEA. Previously he spent 13 years with SGS Société General Surveillance in different senior leadership positions including Head of Innovation and managed the Brand Protection and supply chain security businesses. He worked in corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions with Merrill Lynch, Citicorp, Hill Samuel in New York, London and Sydney.

Gelmer, a financial and commercial economist by training, spent the first 20+ years in the pharmaceutical industry in multiple strategic and executive roles. In 2018 he was appointed as managing director of Royal Joh. Enschedé and has continued in bringing innovation in an international production environment.

Jonathan brings nearly 30 years of experience in the global banknote and security printing industry, with a strong track record in commercial leadership, business development, and product innovation. His career includes senior roles across leading industry organizations such as De La Rue, Landqart and Oberthur Fiduciaire. He holds extensive global sales leadership across Europe, Middle East, Africa, and Asia, backed by proven success selling banknote substrates and finished banknotes to central banks and security printers

Adriaan Kamphorst is a senior specialist in secure printed materials with extensive experience across passports, visa stickers, tax stamps, and diplomas. As Regional Sales Director, he leads the global ID Documents and Tax Stamps verticals, working closely with governments and industry partners on complex, high-security projects. With a strong foundation in both technical and commercial aspects of secure printing, he has expertise spanning the full value chain, from design and specification through to production, verification, and implementation. He is known for his analytical, practical approach and his ability to translate technical requirements into scalable solutions within demanding regulatory environments.

Lyndsey has over 32 years of experience at Authentix Consett. She began her career in order processing and progressed into the design studio, later advancing to Studio Supervisor and then Studio and Office Manager. In her current role as Studio/Office Manager & Tax Stamp Coordinator, Lyndsey oversees both the design and estimating teams and serves as the primary point of contact for all tax stamp projects at Authentix Consett.
